Flood Warning issued May 17 at 3:43AM CDT until May 17 at 8:45AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto and Walker. * WHEN...Until 845 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 343 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... College Station, Bryan, Huntsville, New Waverly, Snook, Bedias, Kurten, Wixon Valley, Millican, Kyle Field, Huntsville State Park, Iola, Roans Prairie, Carlos, Crabbs Prairie, Wellborn and Oakhurst. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
