In Florida, Escambia Coastal, Santa Rosa Coastal and Okaloosa Coastal Counties. * WHEN...From 7 AM CDT this morning through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While rip currents may start off low this morning they are expect to rapidly increase to a HIGH risk this afternoon. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Flood Watch issued May 13 at 5:04AM CDT until May 14 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Mobile AL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Alabama, including the following areas, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox, northwest Florida, including the following areas, Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal and Santa Rosa Inland, and southeast Mississippi, including the following areas, George, Greene, Perry, Stone and Wayne. * WHEN...Through Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across southeast Mississippi, southwest and south central Alabama, and the western Florida panhandle from early Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon. Widespread rainfall amounts between 3 and 6 inches with locally higher totals over 8 inches will be possible. Okaloosa County in northwestern Florida... Southeastern Santa Rosa County in northwestern Florida... Southeastern Escambia County in northwestern Florida... * Until 1115 AM CDT. * At 1036 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 13 miles west of Laurel Hill to 8 miles southwest of Baker to 3 miles southwest of Warrington, moving southeast at 30 mph. THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR MUCH OF OKALOOSA COUNTY AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN SANTA ROSA AND ESCAMBIA COUNTIES, INCLUDING CRESTVIEW AND PORTIONS OF INTERSTATE 10 HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Perdido Bay Area... * Until 1100 AM CDT. * At 941 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 23 nm northwest of Escambia Bay Bridge to 15 nm north of Lillian Bridge to 9 nm east of Fairhope Pier, moving east at 45 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Lillian Bridge, Big Lagoon, Pensacola Beach, East Bay, Pensacola Bay Bridge, Garcon Point Bridge, Pensacola Bay, Navarre Beach, East Santa Rosa Sound, and West Santa Rosa Sound. Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
