Special Weather Statement issued May 14 at 12:42PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL At 1242 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 15 miles east of Daytona Beach Shores to near Osteen to Winter Park to near Celebration to near Haines City. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Orlando, Deltona, Kissimmee, Port Orange, and Sanford. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
