Special Weather Statement issued May 24 at 4:44PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK Snow is expected to develop over the Eastern North Slope late tonight and continue into Saturday night. Between 4 and 6 inches of snow is expected, with the heaviest snow falling between late tonight and Saturday night. Northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph through Brooks Range Passes will cause low visibility in snow and blowing snow along with drifting snow. This could make travel over Atigun Pass difficult tonight into Sunday morning.
